Dutch-Turkish photographer Ahmet Polat lived in Turkey for years, a period that started of with living in freedom and with general optimism of people. Slowly life became more and more restricted. So much that Ahmet decided to return to the Netherlands.
Bedrock
Stijn Schenk (The Graphic Story) teamed me up with Ahmet to make a story for Mindshakes which is now known as Bedrock. The text is a summary of what Ahmet told me how he experienced his stay in Turkey. The illustrations are based on the photos of Ahmet.
The lay-out has a rigid rectangular shape since it was primarily meant to be read on a phone.
